Think About It

Think about what you are doing? Ok I have said this once and now I will say it again. I do understand that there are sites out there that piss us off and we do not feel they should be allowed to run. Puppys 4 is one of them that has continued to get a lot of attention.

This particular site is a hoax and is someone’s attempt at humor, some get it others don’t. I for one do not feel that dog fighting is something that should be joked about on any level, even though some know this site is a hoax there are impressionable youth out there that this site can deliver the wrong message to.

Take a minute and think about how search results works, while you are upset about the site and you pass on the link to your friends, you not only drive traffic to the site but you (depending how/where the link is posted) are also creating links and back links to the site itself, which means you are helping the site gain web presence.

In order to be effective try teaming up and complaining to Google about the site, if you notice there are a lot of ads running on the site. Part of the terms for Google is that sites that run ads cannot have illegal content. If enough people complain to Google the ads will be pulled and they will also remove the site from Google search. It comes down to this the more traffic to the site gets tells Google as well as other search engines that this is a good site. So the reality of it is the 30 bulletins that are posted everyday about this site, in fact are helping the site.

I said it before, when you see sites like this yes something should be done but sending everyone there defeats any attempt you will make in getting this site off line. I still feel rather than saying “this is disgusting go look” it would be a better service to the breed to post something saying “I found another bad site visit the EBA’S (Endangered Breed Association) website” then you can help their ratings. Which is a group that can use the help their budget goes to helping the breed and not to Internet marketing.

Its really not that hard to figure out, far to often actions that are emotional driven are followed by the words “well I meant well”.

Lets take a minute to breath and think about what real effects our actions are going to have.
